Reflections, Milestones, and Style: My LTKCon Experience
Well, hello there! It’s been almost two months since my last blog post, which is definitely not like me. This wasn’t due to laziness—far from it. In fact, the opposite is true. House of Leo is growing, and it’s reached a point where I can’t manage everything on my own anymore. It’s time to start building a team, bringing in support so we can keep expanding, taking HOLB to new heights.
And what better way to mark a milestone than attending LTKCon 2024 in Dallas? This trip was equal parts exciting, inspiring, and a little nerve-wracking. Of course, fashion was a huge part of it, so I’m sharing what I wore and the journey that got me here.
What is LTK?
For those who aren’t familiar, LTK (formerly RewardStyle/LiketoKnowIt) is the platform I use to monetize the items I share with you. When you click a link I post and make a purchase, I receive a small commission from the brand. It’s one of the largest e-commerce platforms out there, with over 40 million users shopping via the app.
I’ve been part of the LTK family since 2017. Back then, it was all about photos, and I slowly transitioned to video content as trends evolved. Over the years, I’ve built multiple revenue streams, strong brand partnerships, and a thriving community without ever putting all my eggs in one basket. LTKCon was always the goal that lingered in the back of my mind—a milestone I knew I wanted to achieve.
Daytime Style: Streetwear Meets Comfort
For the daytime sessions, I went for a streetwear-inspired look. Amazon pants (petite-friendly!) paired with a button-down and sneakers created the perfect balance of comfort and edge. I wanted something that allowed me to move, network, and explore without compromising on style.
There’s something about mixing high and low—Amazon finds with classic staples—that makes a look feel effortless yet polished.
Frosted Glam for Cocktail Night
LTKCon wouldn’t be complete without some cocktail glamour. For one of the evening events, I went full frosted glam: corset, skirt, heels, and a statement belt—all Amazon finds! People were shocked to hear it wasn’t designer. I wanted a look that felt elevated but still true to me—fun, approachable, and just a little playful.
A Goal Achieved
It took seven years of dedication, consistency, and strategy to finally receive my invite to LTKCon. Out of thousands of creators, only 350 were invited. I won’t lie—I thought I’d be emotional when I found out, but instead I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. After years of growing, learning, and never wavering, I finally knew: I deserved this.
Over the years, I’ve set goals—growing my Instagram, landing brand partnerships, hitting income targets—but this one milestone felt particularly personal. It wasn’t just about recognition; it was proof that steady, persistent effort pays off.
Casual Boho and Confidence
Not every outfit had to be glamorous. For daytime check-ins and casual events, I leaned into boho-chic: skirts, tees with high-low hems, and comfortable sneakers. Being a naturally introverted person, attending a three-day conference filled with other creators was a challenge. I had to step out of my comfort zone, navigate moments of awkwardness, and embrace being in large crowds.
Yet, connecting with creators I had known online for years was priceless. They understood me, and it reminded me that authenticity always wins. From casual meetings to cocktail parties, I stayed true to my style: a mix of highs and lows, comfort, and personal flair.
Evening Elegance
For more formal nights, I opted for tulle skirts and sequined pieces instead of gowns. One of my favorite looks was a sparkling tulle skirt paired with a bodysuit—holiday-ready and fun, yet still me. For a cocktail party, I chose a sequin skirt and a timeless button-down: quiet elegance with just enough shine to stand out.
LTKCon itself was over the top. Imagine Grammy-level production, LTK-branded everything, and even a performance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. It was inspiring, humbling, and a little surreal—but also a perfect reminder of how far persistence and dedication can take you.
Lessons and Vision
Attending LTKCon at this point in my career was perfect timing. I wasn’t a beginner anymore. HOLB is established, thriving, and ready to scale. Listening to content creators with millions of followers discuss industry trends, video evolution, and monetization strategies gave me a clearer vision for the brand’s next chapter. I’m leaving Dallas with a plan—and I couldn’t be more excited.
Gratitude
None of this would be possible without you—the readers, followers, and supporters who’ve been on this journey from the very beginning. Whether you’ve been here since the early blog days or joined via Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook, your trust and belief in my content have helped me reach milestones I once only dreamed of.
As much as LTKCon was about fashion and networking, it was also a reminder that growth, patience, and staying true to yourself always pay off.
Key Takeaways
- Fashion is personal: From casual boho to cocktail glam, pick what makes you feel confident.
- Persistence matters: Some goals take years—but when you keep moving forward, the results are worth it.
- Authenticity wins: Being yourself attracts the right opportunities and people.
- Growth requires support: It’s time to build a team and scale HOLB even further.
In the end, I hope seeing what I wore to LTKCon inspires you to chase your own milestones—whether in fashion, career, or personal goals. And remember: never let the outfit steal the spotlight. It’s who wears it that should shine.
